"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12:9

God’s intercessors bring others with them to the foot of his throne and we lay their concerns before him, trusting – KNOWING that God will answer.  The enemy wants to stop this.  He wants to stop us and he is often brutal in his attempts to stop one of God’s faithful intercessors from praying.

I am suffering from complex grief.  My mother has been diagnosed with dementia, and she will progressively get worse.  She is here; yet I am losing her.  She is no longer the mother I once knew.  Yet, she is still my mother and I love her.  This is a prolonged grief.

I am grieving the tragic loss of a dear friend, prayer partner and mentor who was murdered.  The prayers she prayed for me and those we prayed together will remain with God.  Because of her tragic death, we will no longer pray together.  I will no longer have her presence in my life.

I am grieving the loss of my pastor who after helping to guide me as a spiritual authority in my life for 20 years has retired and moved on to a new phase in his life.  I am grieving the loss of my husband’s once robust good health as we walk through a time of adjustments due to an unexpected and serious health change.  I am grieving.

But I am not alone.  God is still with me.  God is still on his throne.  He is still Almighty and His Grace IS sufficient for me.  This is why I can still pray.  This is how I can still care and intercede on behalf of others.

If you are one of God’s intercessors and the enemy is causing you immense hurt, grief, pain, or loss in your life, you may be tempted to give up.   Perhaps, even today, you are thinking that you cannot pray for anyone else.  Maybe, you are even struggling to pray for yourself.  If you are unable to stand under the weight of what has happened in your life; reach out and take Jesus’ hand in the Spirit.  Cry out his name.  He is there with you even in this.

The enemy will not stop God’s intercessors.  We will continue interceding in prayer because God’s Grace IS sufficient for us.  That is not a hope.  That is a promise.  Now, let us stand together on the promise God gave us.  Let us pray.

Praying for you, my friend 🙏

Yes! His Grace is Sufficient!

Arrows, storms, wounds, and prayers yet unanswered. Yet we must Pray On!
