Today I am Grateful...

Today, I am remembering just how much I love living a life of prayer.  One would think that as an intercessor this would be something you would not forget.  Yet sadly, sometimes I do.

My responsibilities in the world of prayer may waylay me if I let them.  The good news is I do not have to let them.  I do have a choice.  Scripture says we are to ‘take every thought captive’.   Okay, so somedays, that is alot of thoughts to take captive.  But with Jesus’ help I can do exactly that!

And that brings me back to today.  Today, my heart is full of gratitude to our God who allows me to talk with him in prayer.  I’m grateful for his Sovereignty that allows me to trust that YES, God can answer the prayers I pray.

I’m grateful for his mercy that says, Yes, God does hear my prayers and he cares about those I am interceding for with him.  He cares about his intercessors, too!

I’m grateful for God’s wisdom that allows me to not worry about how an impossible situation will ever find a solution.  We may not have an answer, but God always does.  His thoughts are SO much higher than our thoughts.  That means God will bring an answer to our prayers that we hadn’t even considered.

I’m grateful for God’s love.  Our world is not always a loving place.  Some days, it is most unloving.  I am grateful to be able to hold onto God’s love for me, his love for my family and his love for you.  That’s right.  God doesn’t just love his intercessors, he loves those we are interceding for!

I’m grateful for God’s grace.  We can pray for forgiveness, you and I.  We can come before him and know that no matter what has happened, God will still hear us.  He will still answer our prayers.  He is a God who forgives those who humble themselves before him.

There is no one I would rather go to in prayer than our God.  He is with us in every trial, in every heartbreak, in every joy and celebration.  God is with us in every prayer we pray and he is waiting for his intercessors to come before him and to bring the prayers because He alone will answer what we never could on our own.

God, I’m so grateful for you.
